History

1997

Decision made to diversify the business of Gals-K Ltd. (oil and associated gas extraction) and start investing in the agricultural sector.

2000

Acquisition of controlling stakes in Horodyshche-Pustovariv Sugar Plant (Kyiv region) and Lynovytsia Sugar Combine "Krasnyi" (Chernihiv region).

2001

Beginning of agricultural business development in Chernihiv region.

2001–2009

The agroholding united 6 agricultural enterprises; the land bank grew to 22 thousand hectares.

2004–2007

Expansion of cultivated land in Kyiv region to 11 thousand hectares.

2006

Creation of Volodar LLC – a turkey meat production business.

2011

Legal registration of the Gals Agro Agroholding.

2012–2015

Cultivated lands of the agroholding increased to 35 thousand hectares.

2016

Acquisition of controlling stake in Vinnychchyna Agrocomplex – apple orchards covering 21 hectares.

2016–2025

Apple orchard area increased to 80 hectares.

2017–2020

Start of biogas projects. Construction of several biogas plants (electricity generation under the "green tariff").

2018

Commissioning of the first biogas plant in Chernihiv region.

2018

Planting of the first hazelnut orchards covering 50 hectares.

2018–2025

Hazelnut orchard area increased to 500 hectares.

2019

Start of apple sales under export contracts.

2020–2021

Modernization of biogas capacities to 14 MW.

2023

Launch of the first industrial biomethane production facility in Ukraine based on a modernized biogas complex.

2024

Start of hazelnut sales under export contracts.

2025

Start of biomethane exports to the EU.
